Media research examined how Disney has reinforced and reshaped gender roles over time. Early animated films such as Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty often portrayed female characters as passive and dependent, and defined them by their appearance. In contrast, male characters 26 as heroic saviors. These portrayals could influence children's understanding of gender and idealize traditional relationships.
