The mechanisms for these effects are not well-established, but may be multifactorial. The following potential causes have been postulated:

1) sulfonamide displacement of warfarin from protein binding sites;

2) sulfonamide-associated reductions in GI flora responsible for production of vitamin K; and/or

3) sulfonamide-induced reductions in warfarin metabolism (via CYP2C9).

補一個血漿蛋白置換順序:

NSAIDs>磺胺>MTX>降血糖>warfarin

所以warfarin在血中會被以上置換而游離態增加
