X-gal 會將產生β-半乳醣苷酶的殖菌轉為藍色 (藍白篩) LacOc：DNA序列突變，因此不會與repressor結合 = 永遠開機 LacI-：Lac repressor本身突變，因此不會結合DNA序列 = 永遠開機 LacIs：Lac repressor本身突變，使其不會和Lactose結合 = 永遠關機 LacZ-：酵素本身基因被幹掉跑不出來= 永遠關機   (A) I+ O+ lacZ+ / I+ O+ lacZ- 正常repressor+正常DNA序列 運作基因，右邊那條的LacZ被幹掉。 加入 IPTG：repressor被抑制，雖然右邊無法生成LacZ但左邊仍正常運作。 不加 IPTG：repressor抑制轉錄   (B) I- O+ lacZ+ / I+ O+ lacZ-  突變repressor+正常DNA序列 運作基因，右邊那條的LacZ被幹掉。 加入 IPTG：雖右邊那條的LacZ被...
