以下兩者屬語言學中"音韻學"的討論範疇==>(英文定義摘自wikipedia) Segments are called "discrete" because they are separate and individual, such as consonants and vowels, and occur in a distinct temporal order. Other units, such as tone, stress, and sometimes secondary articulations such as nasalization, may coexist with multiple segments and cannot be discretely ordered with them. These elements are termed suprasegmental.   以下兩者屬語言學中"言談分析"的討論範疇==>(英文定義摘自wikipedia) Cohesion is the grammatical and lexical relationship within a text or sentence. Cohesion can be defined as the links that hold a text together and give it meaning. It is related to the broader concept of coherence There are two main types of cohesion: grammatical, referring to the structural content, and lexical, referring to the language content of the piece. Coherence in linguistics is what makes a text semantically meaningful. It is especially dealt with in text linguistics. Coherence is achieved through syntactical features such as the use of deictic, anaphoric and cataphoric elements or a logical tense structure, as well as presuppositions and implications connected to general world knowledge. Segmental error : an error of pronounciation which involves individual vowels or consonants. Segmental errors often contribute to a learner's accent in a foreign language.   Coherence: the relationships which link the meanings of utterances in a discourse. The links may be based on the speakers' shared knowledge.
