(A) 「to + 方位」表示物體在某範圍之外 The Philippines is situated to the south of Taiwan.   「on + 方位」表示物體在邊界上 The Himalayas is located on the north of India.   「in + 方位」表示物體在範圍之內 Pingtung lies in the south of Taiwan.   日本在中國以外，故用to是對的   (B) compare A to B  比較或比喻 compare A with B  一定是「比較」的意思   (C) belong 表示分類的概念才使用介詞to 例如Cats belong to feline animals. 如果表位置概念的話 要視地方而定用和地方有關的介詞   (D) to應改為on turn one's back on sb. 不理會某人 cf: turn a blind eye to/ turn a deaf ear to 視而不見/ 當耳邊風   (E) be respectful to/ of  對~表達敬意/ 尊重~
