⑴ The turbocharger comprises a gas turbine, driven by the engine exhaust gases and directly coupled to the blower, which draws fresh air from the engine room and discharges it into the air inlet manifold on the engine.
⑵ The fresh water cooling system is a closed cooling system, in which the fresh water first passes the fresh water cooler, where it is cooled by sea water, and then is circulated through the cooling water jackets of the main engine by fresh water pump to cool cylinder liners, cylinder heads and exhaust valves.
⑴在四衝程柴油機中，曲軸轉二轉產生一個做功衝程。
⑵當低速柴油機用做船舶主機時，發動機和螺旋槳之間不需要減速齒輪箱。
