Mangrove forests store more planet-warming carbon dioxide than almost any other ecosystem on Earth.
Recent research says that the loss of these forests is 46 large amounts of greenhouse gases in Earth’s
atmosphere. As greenhouse gases trap warm air in the atmosphere, most climate scientists believe that the gases
are 47 , at least in part, for climate change. Mangrove forests are found along coasts in tropical countries

coastal areas from storm damage. In sea shores where carbon-rich forests are popular, mangroves are found to

of the carbon is hidden in the soil and tree roots where Mangroves grow.
