把that引導的形容詞子句先略過不看 By the garden over there stands an apple tree. (甚至over there也不看) =>By the garden stands an apple tree. (接著再還原) =>An app.....看完整詳解

總而言之本來的句子是"stands by"的倒裝，把by提到最前面，所以"stands"不能省，當然也不能選別的選項了。
