根據 SOLAS（國際海上人命安全公約）第 V 章第 26 條（Regulation 26 – Steering gear: Testing and drills）規定：

Before the ship leaves port and not more than 12 hours prior to departure, the steering gear shall be checked and tested by the ship's crew.

測試內容

1.主操舵裝置（main steering gear）與輔助操舵裝置（auxiliary steering gear）

2.操舵位置指示器（rudder angle indicator）

3.操舵通訊系統（steering control communication system）

4.自動舵（auto-pilot）與手動操舵之切換
