In patients with medical conditions in which neuropathy is common, including diabetes mellitus, alcoholism, HIV infection, malnutrition, and renal failure, supplemental pyridoxine 25 mg/day should be given with isoniazid. Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding and persons with seizure disorders should also receive supplemental pyridoxine with isoniazid.
