強者同學note: exponent這邊有可能不是"指數",可能是某位大師的術語。 但也不知A錯在哪，不過其他是對的。

上面是exponent的定義。似乎，在語言學，它就是代表的意思。
If I were you I would …’, ‘Why don’t you …?’ and ‘I think if I was in your position, I would …’ are all exponents of the function of advising.
