Why does the ocean move? What causes the waves? 

Blowing吹動 winds move the water on the surface of the ocean.

There are consistent始終如一 winds that travel across the world's oceans, creating surface currents. 

Cold winds that blow from the North and South Poles極（點） carry cold water toward the warm, central parts of the Earth. 

At the same time, surface currents from these warm, central parts shift warm water toward the North Pole and the South Pole. 

As the Earth turns from east to west, that turning also causes currents to move. 

Another thing that makes ocean water move is temperature.

Cold water sinks while warm water rises up. 

The deeper you go into the ocean, the colder the water is.
