We are pleased to announce that our new electronic records system has been installed
and tested and we are now ready to begin training our medical staff in how to use it.
The new system is part of a California statewide initiative to move all medical records
from paper to computers.
The benefits of the new system will be many. All records will be instantly available to
doctors and nurses, and by using electronic charting, we will save lives. For example,
all patients will have wristbands with bar codes that will pull up information on a
computer screen showing medicine and other data. Nurses and technicians will not
have to deal with sloppy handwriting or very different medicines with very similar
names.
Training on the new software will begin next Friday. All staff will be required to put in
