There are many symbols in the world today. Many of these have their roots in history. _31_ , the symbol @ is found on every keyboard in the world. other 當作形容詞

意思是「另一個的、其他的、更多的」。後面加不可數名詞或是複數可數名詞。例如：
We’re doing other research on this disease.
（我們正在對這項疾病做其他研究。）
→ 句子裡的形容詞 other 用來修飾不可數名詞 research。

注意，如果 other 後面是單數可數名詞，就必須在 other 前面加上限定詞，例如定冠詞 the、所有格、no、one...等。例如：
He’s a successful novelist. No other novelist has as many bestsellers as he does.
（他是一名成功的小說家。沒有其他小說家像他一樣有那麼多暢銷書。）
