Dear Professor Smith,
How’ve you been lately? Did you have a good Christmas and New Year’s? Mac
said you’ve been working hard on setting up a new program. 46
I had a short but great vacation. If only I had the time for a longer break! Mac and I
went to Chicago for a few days before Christmas, 47 I had to come back and work
during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (including Christmas Day and
New Year’s Eve)! Every time something like that happens I wonder if I really want to
work in the hotel business.
The other day I was thinking about the fun we used to have in your English class.
There were a lot of interaction but I haven’t seen many of my classmates 48 . In fact,
the only one I still see is Mayumi. I would really like 49 Franco. Does he write to
you? If possible, could you please send me his address? There’s no hurry though.
Mac would like to go skating this weekend and he is waiting for me right now. He
sends you his best regards. I’d better say goodbye now.
