<1> between："在(兩者)之間"，一般只指在兩者或兩部分之間。 
例如： 
　 1. There is a profound and lasting friendship between China and the US. 
　　　中美兩國之間有深厚和永恆的友誼。 
　 2. The theater is between the book store and the bank. 
　　　鴨綠江介於中朝兩國之間。

注意：偶爾between也可用來指三個或三個以上之間，這種情況實際上，仍是指其中一
　　　個和其他中間的一個之間的關係。
如： 
　 1. Tom sits between Tony, and other students. 
　　　湯姆坐在湯尼和其他同學之間。
　 2. The friendly relations between the peoples are profound and lasting. 
　　　各個民族之間的友好關係是深厚的和永恆的。

<2> among："在……中間"；表示在三個或三個以上的人或物中間，後面通常接集體名
　　詞或可數名詞複數形式。 
例如： 
　 1. I saw him among the crowd. 
　　 我看見他在人群中。
　 2. He came from a village among the mountains. 
　　 他來自群山中的一個村莊。
