A good tour guide is knowledgeable about the local area. This includes places to go, places to eat, things to do, museums, and local attractions. A good tour guide always puts together a collection of local attraction brochures and keeps them with him/her. He/She also sends such materials to his/her guests before they arrive so that they can tell him/her what they are interested in seeing and doing.
