V-ing 表示讓人覺得

我們可以說消息是「讓人」振奮的，但不會說這是「自己感到」振奮的消息，因此要把 excite 變成形容詞來修飾名詞 news 的話，要說 exciting news。同樣地，如果有人行為舉止都很無趣，你要用 boring 來形容這個人，而不是用 bored 喔，因此 boring man 才能表達「讓人覺得無聊的人」。

V-ed 表示自己覺得

相反地，我們要說「某人自己」感到某種情緒時，就要把動詞變成過去分詞，例如人可以自己覺得有趣，所以可以用 interested 來修飾
