用seating是表示在找到的當下，爺爺正在坐下，正在進行坐下這個動作。

seated是表示找到當下已經是坐著的狀態。

Be seated 是"被指定坐在某位"。

查劍橋字典 Seated是形容詞 (坐著的) >> 覺得這個比較能理解

但另個版本有人解答 是過去分詞 被動的狀態 (我是不太能理解為什麼坐下是被動)


所以到底哪個是正確的呢??

回13F 因為seat是及物動詞，意思為「使....就坐、使....就位」

此處爺爺自己是受詞，所以要用分詞seated表示爺爺讓自己被就坐(聽起來很拗口但意思就是爺爺是坐著的狀態)

此處sitting跟seated我自己把他當作慣用語來看 多看多唸就記起來了
