A simple word of encouragement, a “thank you” for participation, or recognizing students’ accomplishments can go a long way in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. When teachers fail to show gratitude and appreciation, students may feel undervalued and demotivated, impacting their overall academic performance and emotional well-being.        Ignoring politeness also extends to the way teachers interact with colleagues and staff members. Being polite and respectful towards fellow educators and support staff is crucial for creating a harmonious and collaborative work environment. Unfortunately, when teachers disregard politeness when communicating with their peers, it can lead to tension, conflicts, and a breakdown in teamwork. This, in turn, affects the overall morale and effectiveness of the entire educational institution.

       It is important for teachers to recognize the significance of politeness and consciously integrate it into their teaching practices. By modeling polite behavior, using respectful language, actively listening to students, expressing appreciation, and fostering a culture of kindness and respect, teachers can create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Politeness should not be an afterthought but rather an integral part of the teaching profession, as it contributes to the holistic development and well-being of students and promotes a nurturing educational experience for all.
