 The Christmas markets in Germany in December, by far, draw the biggest crowds, attracting millions of people each year. From Christmas music and holiday treats and regional handicrafts, there is something to please everyone. The markets date back several centuries and historically have offered seasonal goods from local merchants. Visitors today can still find traditional items in the same authentic settings. Historically, Christmas markets lasted only a number of days. Today, however, most markets begin at the end of November and last until Christmas Eve.
