The pandemic exploded at the end of 2019 and soon spreaded to the whole world. In 2020, this disease caused dramatic damge to  the avitation industry and many budget airlines went bankrupt. In the meantime, some airlines earn large amount of profits during the epidemic. The industry encountered unprecedented depression and new opportunity.

As many countries took lockdown measure to slow down the infection. Foreginers without resident permit couldn't entry most of countries, not to mention business and leisure travellers. The restrictions caused a significant drop in global passenger traffic. Lots of flight attendants were forced to take unpaid leave, and some even lost their jobs. Entering 2021, U.S. and members of EU opened broders gradually; travellers vaccinated, with certificate of a negative COVID-19 test result or from listed countries were permitted to entry. It seems that the recovery is happening, althought very slow.     

On the other side, demands for air cargo services has reached records high. Consdering all the PPE supplies, as well as e-commence and products from global production taking to the skies, cargo revenue increases significantly. In Taiwan, China Airline and Evergreen Airlines keep their revene growing through air cargo carrier. The epidemic didn't beat up every airlines.

In pan-epidemic era, passengers started taking air-travel again. People may have live different lifestyle in these years, and demands may be structurally different. But we can look forward to the day the aviation industry develops prosperously.
