3. The Reynolds number is a dimensionless group defined for a fluid flowing in a pipe as Re = Duplfi where D is pipe diameter, u is fluid velocity, p is fluid density, and fj, is fluid viscosity. When the value of the Reynolds number is less than about 2100, the flow is laminarthat is, the fluid flows in smooth streamlines. For Reynolds numbers above 2100, the flow is turbulent, characterized by a great deal of agitation. Liquid methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) flows through a pipe with an inner diameter of 2.067 inches at an average velocity of 0.48 ft/s. At the fluid temperature of 20°C the density of liquid MEK is 0.805 g/cm and the viscosity is 0.43 centipoise [ 1 centipoise = 1 cP = 1.00✖ 10-3 kg/(m-s)]. Determine whether the flow is laminar or turbulent. Show your calculations. (25%)

基地條件： 基地位於台北市西區的傳統街區内，是「連棟街屋」中閒置的住商空地。基地面積4.5 m x 40 m，南北坐向’臨 12m街道，位於街道南側。基地兩側均為三層既有鄰房’雙披斜屋頂。騎樓3.5m深’騎樓前留設步道3 m，臨 街道。新建築將延續兩側的騎樓與步道糸統，私人庭園留設於基地南側，面4 m後巷。 空間需求： 1. 總樓地板面積：320米平方（不包含騎樓）。 2.街面層為商用店面，設置小辦公室，廁所，儲藏室。極大化商用空間，便於日後租賃店家的彈性使用。 3. 二三層為住宅空間，南側庭園設置獨立入口，與一層店面空間互不干擾。 4. 兩層住宅空間分租六位單身房客。 5. 空間組成： a. 私人空間：每人有獨立不受干擾的私有空間。 b. 公共空間：公共功能與設備由設計者自訂。 6. 公共空間的設計原則： a. 分享設施 b. 增進社交與互動 7. 樓梯、陽台、中庭，花園等，無停車需求。 設計訴求： 1. 將既有的資源作最佳的安排，發揮資源的最大效益。 2. 促進人際間彼此的認識，交換，與互助。 3. 善用自然通風與採光，敏感反應微氣候條件。 4. 展現熟練的平面、剖面、空間 ' 與製圖的能力。 圖面要求： 1. 設計說明 Design brief (key words and diagrams) 2.基地配置與 IF 平面 Site plan with 1st floor plan (1:100) 3. 2F & 3F 平面 2nd and 3rd floor plan (1:100) 4.標準浴廁 Bath plan (1:50) 5.剖面說明結構糸統 Building long section (1:100): X (1) 6. 立面 Building elevation (1:200): X (2), N & S 三張半開圖紙，兩張較厚者正圖用，另一張草圖用，只需交正圖。如正圖單面不夠，可使用反面。
