要點一：wait for等待 wait for不但是常見的片語更是考場上常出現的要點，在這片語中，for不能省略（但後接chance, opportunity和turn時例外）。如：We are waiting for the rain to stop.（我們正在等雨停。）或Whom are you waiting for?（你在等誰？） 此外，若你要表達「很抱歉讓你久等了。」你要說：I΄m sorry to keep you waiting.若對方真的等了好一會了，那你得改成：I΄m sorry to have kept you waiting so long.
