申論題內容

2. You see a student using his cellphone without your permission in class, which is apparently against the school rules regarding cellphone use. As you ask the repeated offender to give you his phone, he claims that you don’t have the right to confiscate his cellphone since he isn’t using it at all. One of his friends even challenges you by saying, “Don’t you know it’s illegal to take possession of someone else’s property by force?” At the sound of this, what would you do and how would you react? Additionally, they post vile and offensive slurs on social networking websites, accusing you of being unreasonable and insulting toward the “innocent victim.” What are some possible approaches to tackling this thorny situation appropriately? At that moment in that class, in order to protect other students' right to learn, I would ask that student using cellphone in class to give me his or her cellphone without hesitation directly, and continue my teaching first. After the class dismissed, I would tell the student why he or she should follow the school rules. After graduation, you will start to work. For example, if you are lucky to be a flight attendant, you have to wear the uniform the company gives you and follow the firm's rules. Otherwise, maybe you can be fired or get lower payment. Therefore, in the school, you need not only to train yourself to be proficient in some specific professional subjects but also to cultivate your own personalities in order to be adapt to the work surroundings.
