1972年，聯合國教科文組織在巴黎通過了《世界遺產公約》。為了保護對人類具有突出普遍價值的遺址，該倡議的目的是提高公眾對保護和珍惜地球上這些獨特且不可替代的地方的重要性的認識。世界遺產分為三大類：文化遺產、綜合遺產、____自然遺產__。
