Muhammad Ali was born in 1942 and was famous for his unusual boxing style, funny comments, and social justice work. His parents named him Cassius Clay Jr. One day when Clay was 12 years old, his bike was stolen in a local fair. He told a police officer that he would beat up the thief. Ignoring totally the children’s interests and needs, those parents always push their children to the limits and ask them to achieve impossible goals. Some people regard this kind of parenting as helpful to the children as certain children who are parented under this kind of style can achieve to a high level. But there are still others who see it as cruel and unhealthy. No matter what kind of parenting it is, it is better for the parents to think about whether their parenting style can suit their children. If not, it is wise for the parents to think about not hurting their relationship with their children.
