 Due to the worsening global financial crisis, many companies are trying hard to survive in one way or the other. Some companies are forced to lay off their employees. Others cut off the unnecessary expenses. For Singapore Airlines, it has adopted a new strategy. Singapore Airlines said it has reached agreement with its pilots' union on pay cuts and unpaid leave as part of cost-cutting efforts to counter the effects of the global economic downturn.
