The original Monopoly大富翁, which came out in 1935, almost did not make it to market.

In the 1930s when the economy in the US was pretty bad, Charles B. Darrow查爾斯·達洛of German-town, Pennsylvania, showed a game he called Monopoly大富翁 to the manager at Parker Brothers.
