Multicultural education affirms that schools should be oriented toward cultural enrichment of all students by providing activities and programs that are rooted in the idea of preservation and extension of cultural alternatives. Because a viable curriculum encompasses all the experiences and activities in school, a curriculum must be comprehensive in scope and sequence.
