As everyone knows, in both 2020 and 2021, people’s lives around the world have been impacted by COVID-19. Please write a 250-word essay on how people’s leisure life has changed and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these changes.

After the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, normal lives aren't normal anymore. The world began to run in a competely different way. To prevent the disease from spreading, governments set restrictions to many aspects of people's lives. Ban on unnecessary movement, activities and gatherings in many countries when Covid-19 cases increased lead to changes of people's leisure life.

First of all, people avoid indoor and outdoor gatherings during the lockdown. They stop visiting restaurants or other entertainment venues, staying at home most of the time. People connect with others via the Internet, online meetings become a famous option for friends and families who don't live in same house to keep in touch. Online meeting softwares such as Zoom and Gather Town are popular.  Second of all, game console selsl like hot cakes in the epidemic. Nintendo earns incredible income through Switch and Animal Crossing. In Taiwan, it's so famous that some people paid more money to get this game console immediately.

These changes have pros and cons. People create less carbon emission since they stay at home as much as possible. There are no visitors in national parks and wild animals are less stressful. The planet get a chance to rest. In the meantime, the umemployed rate increase dramatically in the service industry. More people stay at home indicates less comsunption in the market. Almost every  countries suffer economic slump with hard recovery ahead.

It's undeniable that the epidemic harm the human society fiercely. If our country can reach the goal of community immunity, our life will be more felixble and free. The economic can grow and less people be effected negatively.
