Taichung, located in the middle of the island, is the third largest city by population in Taiwan. Compared to Taipei, Taichung is not a busy city at all. People can live a slowe life and enjoy parks, museums and unique resturants. Taichung is not famous for traveling as there aren't many tourist spots, but it is a really livable city which diverise spots to explore and enjoy. As a resident borned and grew up in Taichung, I think quality of public transportation can be improved.
There are buses, MRT and trains for people to take in Taichung. In downtown area, taking buses is a common option. In my viewpoint, bus system can be improved. First of all, illegal parking is familiar in some districts and this causes lots of trouble. People waiting for buses can't stay in safe place and arriving buses have no where to stop because of those vehicles. The government should spend more efforts to regulate this situation. Second of all, some bus schedules aren't busy and the last bus go early. It's inconvenience for people who go out or come home late. As a result, the bus service can be afforded to more passengers if the schedules change.
As many people in Taichung rely on bus service to commute, inhance the quality can make people have a better daily life. Taichung is a city with lots of places worth visiting. Taking more advantages of public transportaion can make our life more sustainable.
