Translate the following English passage into Chinese.(30 分)
It is a common belief that human beings should demonstrate their compassion to assist each other while encountering unpredictable catastrophes. On March 11, devastating earthquake and tsunami mercilessly hit Japan, causing immeasurable loss of property and lives in the country’s northeastern area. In the wake of the unprecedented natural disaster, many countries, including Taiwan, began to mobilize in various ways for relief efforts. The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan arrived in Japan the next day to offer relief efforts after Japan's massive earthquake and tsunami. It is part of a large mobilization of American naval forces in the Pacific to aid Japan. The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan stayed off the coast of Japan and prepared to serve as an afloat platform for refueling Japan Self Defense Force (JSDF) and other helicopters involved in rescue and recovery efforts ashore.
