 後來我有機會可以做晚班工作，拿一倍半的薪水，於是我立刻接受。我變成電梯 操作員，百無聊賴地待在鋪著絲絨的電梯車廂裡，有如隱形人，或是在另一個晚 上穿著白色外套在廁所工作，假裝對客人而言不可或缺，但實際上客人根本不需 要我。有小費當然很好，但那些晚上都沒有小費，而且我要到午夜才能到家，然 後六點就要起床。(取自時報出版《戰爭之光》，李淑珺譯)
