四、It is well known to seafarers that despite the pilot’s duties and responsibilities,
his presence on board does not exempt the Master and the OOW from their
duties and responsibilities for the ship’s safety. However, a large portion of
navigation-related accidents occurs when a pilot is on board. Please discuss
the factors triggering the accidents and give possible solutions for reducing
the negative impacts arising from such factors. Please present your
