10. It's about an air compressor. The cooling space should be cleaned and measurements taken.

Q1: Other equipment essential in emergency situations (2%)1. Starting and maintenance of lifeboat engine/or rescue boat engine. (2%)2. Local control procedures for those systems which are normally controlled from the navigating bridge.(2%)3. Use of the emergency and fully independent sources of electrical power or radio installations. (2%)4. Emergency stops, fire detection and alarm systems; operation of watertight and fire doors (stored energy systems). (2%)

Q2: What are the main points for the maintenance of air compressor systems? (2%)1. The compressors are generally arranged for automatic operation with one machine running continually when maneuvering, automatically loading and unloading on demand, but with automatic stopping and staring at sea. When first starting, air and oil filters must be clean, pressure gauge valves cracked open. (4%)2. With manually controlled machines the drains must be opened before starting, coolers periodically drained during running periods, and drains opened for two to three minutes before the machine is stopped to purge moisture thoroughly form the unit before idle periods. Air reservoirs should be regularly drained of moisture. (4%)
