Q2: How can you control the output of the WHR (Waste heat Recovery)systems?A: The output of WHR can be controlled:1. By controlling flow through an exhaust gas bypass duct by means of damper.2. Q1: What are the main points for the maintenance of air compressor systems?A: The compressors are generally arranged for automatic operation with one machine running continually when maneuvering, automatically loading and unloading on demand, but with automatic stopping and staring at sea. When first starting, air and oil filters must be clean, pressure gauge valves cracked open.With manually controlled machines the drains must be opened before starting, coolers periodically drained during running periods, and drains opened for two to three minutes before the machine is stopped to purge moisture thoroughly form the unit before idle periods. Air reservoirs should be regularly drained of moisture.In control air systems the filter and drier must be kept functioning, and the drain valves fitted at the lowest points on air distribution lines regularly operated.
