Internationalization and liberalization is the indispensable policy to reform finance and economics and to elevate national competitiveness of all countries in the world. Over past half century , Taiwan’s efforts in this field already created the obvious achievement and got widespread attention by the international community. From the 1960s 19p.m finance and economics reform project to the 1970s liberalization of imports, and promoted overseas investment to do pioneering work and so on. Those showed modernization of taiwan’s economic and trade policy. After 1985s, Taiwan implemented the policy to reduce tariff and import liberalization, and reduce the average rate of import tariff to 20%. On the other hand, in order to abroad the trade friendship with America, Japan, and european union (EU) countries. Taiwan also participated with international economic trade affair, and joined in APEC(Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) and WTO. In the foreseeable future, Taiwan will sign the bilateral or multilateral free trade agreement with more conutries step by step.
