Such changes in one's personal behavior are not difficult, and cost us nothing, but if we all were to cooperate, the benefits would be very substantial. Don't let “*uglification*,” a word coined by Lewis Carroll, be defined in the dictionary with a photo of Taiwan! Instead of making Taiwan an uglier place, why not choose to beautify her? You know, you and I can make a real difference. If we just decide to think of Taiwan with love, as our homeland, and not just politically, as a nation on a map, there is bound to be a natural change in our day-to-day actions. All that is required is the desire to proclaim, with pride, that ours is the most beautiful island on Earth.
