All the information you give must be geared toward winning the job you desire. To fill the gaps, carefully decide what other information—and how much of it—to include. Unless they are specifically relevant to the position sought, personal statistics (such as your birth date or eye color) are best skipped. Instead, consider filling excessive blank space with details about community service you may have done, academic or other honors, or additional skills—whatever helps you to "put your best foot forward" and sell yourself as the most qualified person to fill the job opening.
