Morphology

Morpheme語素：在語素構詞學裡指最小的語法單位，是最小的語音語義結合體。

 ▴free morpheme：可以獨立成字的morpheme，如：boy, gentle
 ▴bound morpheme：不能獨立成字的morpheme，如：un-, pre-, -ish, -nes

Morpheme (appix)可依在字中的位置分為:

1. prefix：前
2. suffix：後
3. infix： 出現在中間
4. circumfix：同時加在字前後，有時又稱distinuous morpheme

Morpheme 可依功能分為:

 ▴derivational morpheme衍生語素：可與其他語素結合成為一個新的字，

  如happiness中的後綴-ness，這樣的語素會帶來新的語義，常改變意思或

  詞性。

 ▴inflectional morpheme屈折語素：與其他語素結合後，會改變其時態、單

  複數等等，如動詞遇到第三人稱單數時須加上後綴-s，這樣的語素只會改變

  文法，並不改變語意。
