Gardner 提出人類多元智慧（multiple intelligence）理論，包括八種基本 的 智 能 ， 即 ① 語 言 智 能 （ linguistic intelligence ） 、 ② 邏 輯 - 數 學 智 能 （ logic- mathematical intelligence）、③空間智能（spatial intelligence）、④音樂智能 （musical intelligence）、⑤身體-運動智能（bodily-kinesthetic intelligence）、⑥知 己智能（intrapersonal intelligence）、⑦知人智能（interpersonal intelligence）⑧知天 智能（naturalistic intelligence）。
